DC Everest goes 3-0, Stratford was 2-1

POYNETTE - Talk about having a great day at the plate! Makayla Pagel (pronounced paagel) was in a zone today in Poynette as the Northwoods Fastpitch Jamboree played out in the southern part of the state here.

Pagel led DC Everest to a 13-2 win over Iola-Scandinavia with a long blast to left field. In game two she nailed three including one paced off to be about 280 feet from contact to touchdown beyond the fence. In game three vs Stratford Pagel launced her fifth home run of the day.

It will be a day she will remember well as she will also receive a Fastpitch Chronicle Multiple Home Run Certificate.

In Round one of the Jamboree, just scheduled last weekend due to those six teams not being able to get on fields to even practice on much less play on, DC Everest beat Iola-Scandinavia 13-2 while Wrightstown beat Wausau West 4-3 with a run in the bottom of the seventh and Stratford handed Chequamegon a 6-3 loss.

Round two saw Iola-Scandinavia bounce back from the loss to DCE and beat Wausau West 8-0 whiile Stratford came from 3 runs down in the seventh to nip Wrightstwon 4-3. The other game saw DC Everest beat Chequamegon in a slugfest 17-10 with Pagel leading the way.

Round three saw two games with Wrightstown beating Chequamegon 7-1 and DC Everest toppling Stratford 12-5.

It was a great day for everyone. The six teams got a chance to play. The Poynette Fastpitch Organization and the School District of Poynette enjoyed hosting the event and the fans were treated to some great fastpitch action.
