Lakeside Lutheran scored three runs in the first inning which would be plenty for pitcher Keightan Rank but the Warriors added more with one in the fourth and one in the sixth to get the 5-1 win over the Whippets.
There were six doubled in the game with each team getting three two-baggers. There were 17 safe hits in the game with Whitewater getting eight and Lakeside nine.
Rank struck out 11 Whitewater batters and issued just one base on balls.
Lakeside head coach Matt Doering had these comments following is team's win. "
We started the night well offensively Abby Meis had a solid 2 for 4 night at the plate. We got hits from 7 of our 9 hitters and put up a solid 5 runs.
Kieghtan threw really well in the circle. She scattered their hits and struck out 11 to get the win."
