Final Score was 13-6 - Falcons remained unbeaten at 6-0

Westosha Central used 9 hits, including 3 home runs to defeat Union Grove in a slug fest 13-6 in Union Grove.

Meghan Lampos earned the win, going 4 1/3 innings, allowing 2 hits, 1 unearned run while striking out 9.  Samantha Erber pitched the final 2 2/3 innings.  Marlee Lange went the distance for the Broncos and took the loss.

The Falcons opened the scoring in the 1st when Sam Erber hit a 2-run home run.  They extended their lead in the 3rd on a solo home run by Lila McNeill.  In the 5th the Broncos narrowed Westosha Central's lead to one.  Abbey Garbie reached on an error.  She scored on a single by River Jamison to right.  Jamison scored on when the Falcons committed two errors on the play.  Westosha Central responded with a 4-run 6th inning.  Maya Gagliardi led off with a single.  She scored on an error a few batters later.  A single by Allie Loucas plated Lampos and Alex McKinney.  Maya Swanson later scored on a passed ball.

The Broncos responded with 3 runs in their half of the 6th.  Ava Greening led off with a single and scored on a Garbie single.  A double steal plated Karlie Peterson.  Union Grove finished the inning with a home run to left by Katie Madrigal.  But the Falcon offense was not done.  In the 7th the Falcons plated 6 runs.  Gagliardi led off with a single and scored on a Lampos home run to left.  Erber doubled and the next two Falcons reached by errors.  Mia Kozak singled in two more  runs and scored herself on a McNeill single.  The Broncos added one more  run on another Greening single.  But the Falcons ended the threat and the game.

Co-Head Coach Tom Lampe has these comments following the game. "It was a very close game until our offense came to life late in the game.  Again we did a good job with 2 out runs.  The game got crazy at the end.  But we held our composure when it mattered and that's a good sign.  Sam and Meg did a great job in the circle when we needed them most.  Hopefully we can keep this up."

With the win the Falcons improved to 6-0 overall and 5-0 in the SLC.  They return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Burlington for a SLC game.
