Iola-Scandinavia 4, Shiocton 1 (The game was moved to Iola)
The Iola-Scandinavia (6-0, 7-2) softball team behind another strong pitching performance by Julia Munoz beat Shiocton (1-4, 5-7), 4-1, in a CWC-East game on Thursday. Munoz went the distance allowing four hits, one walk while striking out 10 batters. The one run by Shiocton was an unearned run. The Thunderbird defense committed one error in the game.
Julia Munoz also helped herself out at the plate with two hits including a run-scoring double in the third inning. Ava Printz also had a run-scoring double in the third inning.
