The Spartans swept a twin bill at Port Washington to claim a share of first place in the North Shore Conference standings.
The Spartans improved to 13-2 in NSC play and share the top spot with Hartford, also 13-2. Slinger is right behind at 12-2. West Bend West is 14-4 overall entering Friday's scheduled matchup at home against Slinger.
West rapped 14 hits in the first game to back the two-hit pitching of Lindsay Sandleback. Paige Guse, Mackenzie Rolf, Maiya Tearney, Eleanor Henschel and Breleigh Ustruck had two hits each for the Spartans.
The Spartans had five home runs in the nightcap as the home team. Ava Thelen, Mia Buske, Rolf and Sandleback had two-run shots and Henschel added a solo homer.
Maiya Tearney notched the win in the circle, scattering seven hits.
