The Cougars suffered their first conference loss of the season against Waupun 8-2.
Waupun came out with the bats smoking in the first inning scoring five runs. Waupun hit a three run bomb and a two run bomb. Kylie Zehern settled down after that allowing only three runs (two earned) the rest of the way and struck out six.
The Cougars hit the ball hard but couldn't find any holes - credit the Waupun defense whose shortstop made a few great plays in the hole. Brooke Flitter hit her first varsity homerun and Carissa Heisdorf had a double. Zehren and Allysa Klahn had hits as well.
