Team is Young but gaining confidence
- On Tuesday night Grace Marty and Sophia Schneider combined to throw a shutout for the Pirates in the conference game against Belleville.
- Junior, Abbie Gier collected four hits in five at bats to help lead the Pirates to the victory over Belleville. Gier doubled in the first, singled in the second, singled in the fourth, and singled in the fifth.
- Freshman Catcher for the Pirates hit her first Home Run over the centerfield fence in the second inning and threw out 2 runners attempting to steal second.
- Our team is young this year but with the leadership of our upperclassmen we will work out the problem areas and become a strong team throughout the remainder of the season.
