Shoreland Pacers softball moved to 4-0 on the season and 3-0 in the Metro Classic on Tuesday with an 11-1, 5inning win over St Thomas More.
The Pacers took advantage of 13 walks and 9 stolen bases in the win. Erin Borchardt(3-0) got the win in the cirlce going 5 innings while allowing 2 hits and 1 unearned run. Borchardt added 2 hits at the plate, scoring 3 runs, 4 SB and driving in 1. Shelby Brunner was the only other Pacer with multiple hits. She went 2-2 with a triple, 2 runs and 4 rbi.
"Our bats were struggling early so we pressed the issue with some aggressive base running. My young team is growing in confidence with each game. I'm excited to see their growth the rest of the season."
Thomas More moved to 1-4(0-3 MCC) on the season. Shoreland next plays @ Thomas More on Thursday.
