Jefferson took down Brodhead and Evansville in Rock Valley action during he week. The final score against Brodhead was 6-0 while they beat Evansville 12-0.
Claire Beck tossed a seven-inning, one-hitter at Brodhead and fanned 18. Against Evansville she twirled a five-inning No-Hitter with 10 strikeouts. That is 28 strikeouts in 12 innings or 2.33 per inning. The defense just needs to handle over one out per inning to be successful.
