The Cougars took down a young, pesky Plymouth team 9-3 last night. In the third inning the Cougars took advantage of some Plymouth errors to score three runs on one hit to take a 3-0 lead.
Campbellsport would score one in the top of the 4th a couple walks and an error loaded the bases for senior Lauren Heisdorf who drove a ball just over the glove of the right fielder for a three run double. Senior, Allysa Klahn then clutched up as well, lining a RBI single to left. In the fifth, junior Carissa Heisdorf blasted her second homerun in as many games.
In the circle, Brooke Flitter scattered 10 hits, while striking out 12. The defensive play of the game came in the 2nd inning when Plymouth had a runner at third with one out when a medium deep fly ball was hit to centerfield Kylie Krueger. Krueger got a good running start, caught the ball in stride and threw a strike to catcher Lauren Heisdorf to gun down the runner.
