Sydney Supple threw a five-inning perfect game and hit two home runs as the Oshkosh North High School softball team opened Fox Valley Association play with a 10-0 victory over visiting Fond du Lac on Tuesday, April 2.
Supple fanned 11 Cardinals and opened the scoring with a first-inning home run.
The Spartans added a run in the third on two-out base hits by Courtney Day and Emma Leib.
Libby Neveau, Sophie Averkamp and Day had RBI singles in a four-run fourth for the Spartans.
Supple hit a two-run dinger in the fifth and Averkamp launched a bomb to put the Spartans up 9-0 in the fifth. Brie Gauthier reached on an error and scampered to third on another error to set the table for Day's run-rule ending base hit.
Day and Averkamp had three hits apiece for the Spartans; Supple and Leib had two each.
